Formulas Used

• Tip Amount = Bill Amount × (Tip % ÷ 100)
• Total Bill = Bill Amount + Tip Amount
• Per Person Share = Total Bill ÷ Number of People

For unequal splits, each person's share is calculated based on what they individually ordered, with the tip distributed proportionally. For example, if Person A ordered ₹600 worth and Person B ordered ₹400 worth, the tip is split 60:40 between them rather than 50:50.

Example Calculation

You and 3 friends dine at a restaurant. The bill comes to ₹2,400.

Equal Split:

• Tip at 10% = ₹240
• Total Bill = ₹2,640
• Each person pays = ₹2,640 ÷ 4 = ₹660

Unequal Split Example:

Person A ordered ₹900, Person B ₹700, Person C ₹500, Person D ₹300 (Total ₹2,400) With 10% tip, each person's tip is proportional to what they ordered: Person A pays ₹990, Person B ₹770, Person C ₹550, Person D ₹330.
